LVT is a durable, high-quality and waterproof floor, available in realistic wood, stone or slate designs. While laminate is wood-based, luxury vinyl is made from PVC with a deep wear layer on top that can take the scratches, scuffs and general wear and tear without affecting the photographic design layer underneath. It’s also fully water resistant so a great option for bathrooms and utility rooms.
There are many Pros and Cons to LVT – More Pros if anything! See below what we think. But of course book us for that free quote and measure to discuss this option further!
Vinyl Flooring refers to several different, resilient flooring surfaces made from synthetic materials. The vinyl flooring we offer is a range of Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVTs) which boast excellent durability and a high-end look.
Designed to closely mimic wood and stone, Most LVT flooring has been printed with realistic patterns and grains, to create an authentic texture to match its dreamy aesthetic.
Most LVTs come with underlay attached so at times you won’t need to worry about buying a separate one. Some floors may need an extra underlay, however, we will discuss your options on our free quote and measure.
It all depends on how hands on you are! Many floors in the LVT Range are vinyl click flooring meaning the planks lock together simply. There’s no need to glue or nail the flooring into place; as long as there’s a solid subfloor you can simply lay and go! Most of the time the prep work, the measure and cutting is where the time is taken! But why worry about this when we provide you with a comprehensive quote!
The best flooring for your home will depend on your needs and tastes. That said, luxury vinyl flooring has increased durability, better waterproofing and a more solid feel.
It’s worth noting that some people do prefer the aesthetic and feel of laminate flooring, so compare the two if you’re unsure which you prefer. We are here and happy to discuss this with you!
Luxury vinyl flooring was made with the criticisms of vinyl flooring in mind. While vinyl has always been a durable surface, luxury vinyl takes it to the next level with added wear and film layers. LVTs are up to 5 times as thick as traditional vinyl floors.
The look of LVTs is another improvement over traditional vinyl, and they now offer a much more realistic appearance of real wood or stone.
